Outer Limits Brewing is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the breweries near Ludlow, VT. It’s quick a 6-minute drive from downtown Ludlow.
The brewery is owned by husband and wife team Wesley and Taylor Tice, who have backgrounds in farming, restaurants, and brewing, so you know they know their stuff!

Long Trail’s website states that it only allows service dogs on its property; however, when we visited, we were told that well-behaved dogs are welcome on their lawn. You might want to call ahead to confirm whether they’ve changed this policy. We were also informed that the wait staff does not service the lawn area, so you’ll need to order food and drinks at the bar.

We first heard about Rutland Beer Works from a radio commercial while camping in nearby Ticonderoga, NY.
The brewery’s taproom, Hop’n Moose Brewpub, is located about 30 minutes from Ludlow. They serve up samples, flights, and pints of their Lake Monster Lager, Better Dayz IIPA, Rutland Red Ale, and everything in between. Growlers and cans are also available to go.
